After your free credit consultation, we put together a plan of action that is tailored to your specific case. No two credit reports are exactly alike. Therefore to obtain the best results possible it will entail more than just letter writing to the bureaus, but also the creditors and collection agencies as well. There are Federal & State laws in place to protect you from inaccurate and unverifiable credit reporting. We make sure that these laws are being followed by using our multi-stage process.
We demand validation and verification of derogatory information using the
Fair Debt Collection Practices Act,
the
Fair Credit Reporting Act,
the
Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act
and the
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. These four laws have been established to protect consumers’ credit reports. Creditors and credit bureaus are legally obligated to produce documented evidence within a reasonable amount of time, generally 30 days, to back the claims they make. If they cannot validate their claims, they must promptly remove any undocumented information from the consumer’s credit report.
