Would like to improve my credit after filing backruptcy. Filed in 2005 after my husband was injured and was unable to work. It was paid off in Jan. 2008, after he finally began to receive Social Security disability. My current credit score is 597. How can I improve it without getting a credit card with a high rate?

A Positive Divorce Recovery Book for Your Divorced Clients and Other Contacts

Thanks for a chance to help someone here today!

Hi,

Once a lawyer helps settle the clients’ property and financial assets, they can then offer them some good support and help to make a successful move-on to a happier and more enjoyable life after their divorce or separation.

I have published a book on divorce recovery called "Yes, There Is an Upside of Divorce, It Can Be Your Second Chance at Life!" You can search "upside of divorce" on Amazon and read the great reviews I have there. One of my top 5-Star ratings is from Tracy, who is the owner of a national web support group called Woman’s Divorce (com), and has used parts of my chapters for her members going through divorce.

I am hoping lawyers may want to buy a copy or two to provide this good help and support to their divorced clients. And perhaps show this to other professionals they may know and use in their practice. Perhaps your clients would like to buy their own copy too if they need some help moving on past their divorce/separation process?

My book has a positive approach to divorce recovery and about how to make a happier and more enjoyable life after divorce. This would be a great gift and help to your clients suffering through their divorce or money well spent for themselves to get my book and see how I was able to find a happier and more enjoyable rest-of-life for myself!

Book Discounts of 10% to 30% off Amazon's costs are available on my own website, Self-Help-Products-and-Services (com). I can also set up affiliate sales on my website and PayPal to return a second discount to you or your members.

WE ALSO OFFER A DIVORCE SUPPORT GROUP DISCUSSION YOU CAN ATTEND THROUGH YOUR PC AT HOME! See the Books and Workshop tab on the website below!

Thanks for letting me have a chance to help you help your clients in another way. And thanks for your kind consideration of my book.

I have 3 open bank credit cards, one of them I opened for my former home business. I had a couple of other accounts, but they were closed by the issuer last year, because I didn't use them. The only problem I have with that is one of the cards was my oldest account, and had a relatively large available balance of $12,800. I know my credit score took a hit for a few months after those cards were closed, because my average card age and overall credit availability were lessened. Although I was not in the market for any new credit, I think that there should be a special notation on credit reports when cards are closed due to inactivity, and the credit score calculation formula adjusted not to reflect a higher debt to available credit ratio.

I had a Bankruptcy: Discharged CH-7 112/28/08. all 3 current Credit Scores are 686. I currently have 3 lines of credit; 1) carries a limit of 15,000 with a 4,000 balance with a perfect Payment History since 09/2008. 2) is a 14,000 car loan opened 7/1/07 with a perfect score & a balance of 3,570, 3.) is a amex with a 500 limit no balance perfect rating since 6/08

Can you get my BK removed and raise my credit scores into the 700s. I would like you to advise based on my 3 current reports that I have that you need to see first I am sure. Please get back with me

I had a Care Credit Card. Near the end of the promotional period I applied for a different card with a low balance transfer apr, and transfered the balance to avoid the 29.99% apr on the expensive emergency that this card was supposed to "help" me through. As a result of trying to keep up with the promotional offer, I really put myself in a hole with cash flow.

Somehow, between me and my husband, we have managed to accrue $17,000 in credit card debt. We can't seem to find a way out. We have tried to budget, we have done research, and we have even cut out alot of fun stuff in our lives. I think it's time for me to get a part time job. If we can't pull this off, we may have to declare backruptcy.

My credit score was low, i never pay my credit card for more than 2 years , but i had a stable job for more than 15 years, im renting $1600 for almost 5 years now. i know i can afford to pay a mortgage. I have 2 cars which has been paid for more than 2 years. Everytime im looking for house realestate always turn me down that i need to pay first or clean my credit before i apply for any loan is just a waste of time. I know my credit score is around 500. Im planning to buy a house that is in the market for $299.000.

I've had credit problems in the past. My score really sucked. I took a few minutes to get my report from all three major bureaus and found that the bulk of my derogatories were regarding several long forgotten small accounts.

I buckled down, borrowed the up front money from family, and paid these off all in one day. (the total amount was approximately $2,000), and made sure everything that wasn't paid off was at least current.

My two lowest scores increased by about 60 points EACH in a mere 3 weeks after this. I've been working with prospective employers who do require credit and/or background checks, and found that if everything is current, most don't care much about how bad it had gotten, which means if you fix the problems NOW, many employers will give you the benefit of the doubt.

As a result of the CARD Act reforms that went into effect on February 22, credit card companies are projected to incur $12 billion in annual losses. But we all know that credit card companies are far too imaginative to let this happen. The reforms require the credit card companies to give you 45 days notice before rate increases, and those increases cannot be applied to existing debt unless you miss payments for 60 days. In addition, there have been new restrictions placed on how they can market to college students under 21 years old. This all translates to nothing more than a bump in the road for card companies. Old methods of revenue generation will be replace by new ones in the form of lots of fee

I really would like to buy a home for me and my wife and our 3 boys. Im 33 and been working the same job since April of 2004. My credit is not good enough to get a loan for a home but i do have a 2004 Harley Davidson worth about 12,000 i could use that as credit for a house. I can make the payments on a home loan up to 600 a month. I just wish and hope i can find someone that will help me and my family. All of my debt is due to hospital bills.. I really would like to stop renting and put my money towards a home for me and my family. If you could please help me!!!! Thank you.

I have been trying to get a business or personal loan to get my retail business up and running.
All I need is $5000. to up grade, but my credit score is too low.
I am stuck with a bogus student loan, for a heavy equipment certificate that is worthless.
I do not want to give them anymore money, but would concider refinancing. They are charging
me 18% intrest. Can you help me?

IN 1998 I WAS FALSELY ACCUSED AND WAS HIT WITH A $450,000 LAW SUIT. AFTER TRYING TO FIGHT IT AND $30,000 IN ATTORNEY FEES TO NO AVAIL, I FILED BANKRUPTCY IN 2000. IT IS STILL ON MY CREDIT RECORD. HOW CAN THIS BE REMOVED? I WOULD LIKE TO REFINANCE MY HOME MORTGAGE AT A BETTER RATE NOW. THANK YOU.

Please read very carefully the comments made regarding the difference in the points a credit report company can be astray. My short story is they were off by mine almost 25 points and that small amount stopped me from buying the house of my dreams sold 2 months later for almost $15,000 less than I was going to pay. If the accurate reports had come in from the credit card companies I would be living in that house right now. I cry often at this transcrepency as at 38, I will most likely never marry and it was the home I was going to live the rest of my days in.
BE EVER SO CAREFUL AND DONT EVER BELIEVE WHAT YOlU READ ~~~ WITH THE BANKS SUCKING US UP WILL WE SURVIVE!!!!

My girlfriend and I are living in her house that her mother left to her after she past away.
What would it take to have the house put in one of our names if not both? I dont think she has enough credit for a home loan, nor does she have job security. My credit is in ok condition and i have been with a company for over 2 years now. Do we have any options?

My girlfriend and I are living in her house that her mother left to her after she past away.
What would it take to have the house put in one of our names if not both? I dont think she has enough credit for a home loan, nor does she have job security. My credit is in ok condition and iI have been with a company for over 2 years now. Do we have any options?

If your in the market place for a loan, it is a smart decision to go over your credit rating score at least six calendar months prior to putting forward the application. This way if your mark is inadequate, you get an opportunity to amend your credit grading for at least six months before the loaner makes a credit check on you.

My boyfriend and I are looking into buying a house together and when I ran my credit score it was only 551 and I know that lendors want a score of 620 or better. I went thru a divorce a couple of years back and my ex's responsiblity was to pay the bills and he did not and that affected my score and then I lost my job of 22 years not long after that and had a tuff time getting a job so I finally took one that paid way way less then I was making so I struggled paying my bills then too. My question is what can I do to fix this to where I can eventually buy a house? I have gotten a good job again now and I am paying my bills but I know I need to do something else too but just don't know what. Please advise if you can help and what the fees for this type of service costs.

Yup, you hit the nail right on its head and told it as it is. Keep up the great posts. BTW, getting into a large amount of debt is a nightmare and I learned it the hard way. I've since then almost paid up all of my debt though and wrote about it at http://HowToGetRidOfCreditCardDebt.org
